Tom Cruise born as Thomas Cruise Mapother IV on July 3rd, 1962 in Syracuse, New York is an amazing American actor and film producer. Tom Cruise won several awards and honors for his awesome acting skills. The Japanese government has honored this hot actor by naming October 10th, 2006 as 'Tom Cruise Day' as he has visited Japan more than any other Hollywood actor.
Tom Cruise was born to Thomas Cruise Mapother III, an electrical engineer and Mary Lee nee Pfeiffer, a special education teacher. When Tom Cruise was twelve his parents got separated and he went to live with his mother and sister Lee Anne. Tom Cruise was on constant move from city to city and lived in several places like Ottawa, Kentucky, Louisville, Illinois, Winnetka, Wayne, and New Jersey. He changed 15 schools in a space of 12 years. He eventually completed his schooling from Glen Ridge High School in New Jersey in 1980. Tom Cruise began acting from his school days when he participated in his school's production of 'Guys and Dolls'.
In 1981, Tom Cruise made his film debut with "Endless Love" and "Taps". In 1983, he got a breakthrough role in "Risky Business" in which he showed his brilliance in acting. Since then Tom Cruise appeared in several major blockbuster hit movies and went on win awards, honors and accolades. He won thirty-three awards and forty-three nominations including three Oscar nominations for "Born on the Fourth of July", "Jerry Maguire", and "Magnolia". They together have a daughter named Suri born in April 2006 prior to their marriage. Tom Cruise was also accused of being gay and he went on to sue people who called him gay.
